Sylvia M White Peters, a resident of Muskogee, formerly of Henryetta, died Jan. 23, 2015 in Muskogee at the age of 88. She was born Nov. 6, 1926 in Morris, to Harrison and Jessie White.
Sylvia attended the Abundant Life Church in Henryetta and also attended First Assembly Of God in Okmulgee.
Her work history includes TGandY, Globe Life, Eagle Pitcher Smelter, City Service Oil Company, and CITGO Petroleum.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her birth parents, Sylvester and Maggie Peters, her mother, and father, Jessie and Harrison White, brother, San White, Sister, Mildred Henley, and her sister, Barbara Shahan.
Sylvia is survived by her sister Vera Brown of Henryetta; niece, Terral Shahan Graybill and husband B. Todd of Muskogee, niece, Diane, niece, Paula Henry, nephew, Ira Brown Jr. of Arizona, niece, Rhonda Wolverton of Lawton; nephew, Kim Shahan of Lawton, niece, GLenna Jean Inmane of Skiatook, and many great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2015 at Integrity Chapel (410 E. Trudgeon St.) in Henryetta with Rev. Greg Boyd, officiating. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery. Service are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
Pallbearers will be Bill Shahan, Kim Shahan, Todd Graybill, Harold Henley, Brendan Wolverton, and Ira Brown Jr.
