James Allen "Buddy" Morris, a resident of Henryetta, died Jan. 23, 2015 in Tulsa at the age of 82. He was born Sept. 30, 1932 in Hanna to Mileden Sevier Morris and Donnie Lee (Bryan) Morris.
Buddy served during the Korean War in the Army of the United States.
He was a member of the Henryetta VFW and the American Legion.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Mileden and Donnie Morris, one sister, June Rose (Morris) Moore, and by one great-grandson, Jaxon Gray.
He is survived by his five children: Kaye Nell Wright and husband Charles "Bubba" of Dustin, Sandra "Candy" Whitney and husband Roger of California, Jimmy Ray Morris and wife Susan of Schulter, Cheri Lynn Hare of Henryetta, and Beverly Renee Ogden of Henryetta; grandchildren: John Gray, Jason Whitney, Brian Whitney, Matthew Rice, Sarah Able, Ashley Morris, Michael Morris, Chad Hare, William Hare, Shannon Dillon, and Shelby Ogden: 12 great-grandchildren: sister, Peggy Andrews of Catoosa: brother, Bill Morris of Henryetta: sister, Edith "Honey" Andrews and husband Burl of Catoosa, and sister, Jo Ellen Boatright of Bixby, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, John Gray, Jason Whitney, Brian Whitney, Michael Morris, Chad Hare, and William Hare. Honorary Pallbearer will be Matthew Rice.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 27 and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Integrity Chapel (410 East Trudgeon St.) in Henryetta. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
