On the heels of one of the largest sales tax returns this decade last month, the numbers took a decline in February.
cashHenryetta received $209,587.03 in sales tax revenue in February, a drop of $14,171.49 from a year ago.
That drop echoed the overall revenue report by the Oklahoma Tax Commission. In February, $145,640,462 was returned to 514 cities and towns. That was a decrease of $2.403 million from a year ago.
A decline was also registered in the Okmulgee city return. This month, the town received $528,240 compared with $544,626 last year.
Even though the Henryetta February return was lower than last year, the town is still running ahead for the fiscal year. Since July 1, 2015, Henryetta has received $1,738,358. During the dame time a year ago, sales tax receipts amounted to $1,706,849.
