The century-old First Presbyterian Church in Henryetta is getting a facelift.
Late last year the rock facing started falling off the structure revealing the brick wall and threatening a large, antique stained glass window.
That damage remained until this week after the building was sold to Henryettans Todd and Dianne Groff.
"I didn't want to see the building torn down. It is too beautiful a structure," Dianne said this week.
She saw the damage and the desire to keep the former house of worship intact started building within her.
"We have some rental property and we started talking about buying the church. I prayed about it for several weeks and we decided to go ahead and do it," she said.

In 1914, construction started on the Gothic style church, finally completing in 1916.
It is best known for the richly-colored stained glass windows that would cast a multicolored glow in the evenings. Numerous weddings were performed in the sanctuary and may see more in the future.

"We don't know what we are going to do with the building," she said. "We have been talking about making it a wedding chapel."
At any rate, there is a part of Henryetta history that is being kept alive thanks to a husband and wife who care.
