Henryetta's girls were the first place winners at the annual John Philippe track meet, easily outpacing second place Jones high school in the point standings. The HHS boys tied for fourth with Wewoka in the overall point standings coming in behind Seminole, Jones and Weleetka.
HHS senior track star Daisy Vanmeter was the easy winner in both the 800 and 1600 meter runs. She posted a 2:23.78 time in the 800 and 5:24.79 in the 1600 run. In the 1600, teammate Mya Powders captured third with a 6:31.34.

Mya Powders brought home a first place medal in the 3200 meter run while Holly Stuart took fourth and Jennifer Denton placed fifth.
Second year pole vaulter Brittany Elam placed second with a vault of 8 feet.
The 100 yard dash saw Calley Rempe place third while Kaitlyn Clark came close (one second) from taking first in the 400 dash. Rempe also posted a fifth place time for the 200 yard dash.
Shelby Bullard tied for second in the 300 hurdles with a 55:43.
In the girls relay events, Henryetta was first in the 3200 and 1600 and second in 400 and 800.
The HHS boys relay teams placed third in the 400 and 1600 and sixth in the 800.
Nick Pak was the second place winner of the 400 dash with a 55:56.
The next time the Henryetta teams take the track will be at Okemah Friday.
