The Henryetta Lady Knights tennis team took first place in their 4A tournament Saturday while the boys brought home the second place overall trophy.
girls teamIn the number 2 doubles, Lady Knights Britt and Smith sailed through their first two games downing teams from Regent Prep and Seminole. That put them into the championship contest against Wagoner and the Henryetta girls captured both matches 4,4.
The HHS number 1 doubles team of Bryant and Gaddy won their opener 1,1 over Riverfield but lost 3,4 to Seminole. In the final matchup of the day, they took third place 0,4 against Wagoner.
In the  number 1 singles competition, Fallon Rodgers opened with a win over Wagoner's Katy Roberts but lost 2,0 to Regent's Grace Willis. Rodgers took her third place victory, 4,1 against Serena Nichols from Rejoice.girls doubles
Playing in the number 2 singles, Rachel Montgomery also won her opener but lost the second matchup. She won her third place contest against Perry's Amanda Peterson 0,1.
Colton Wion was the champion in the boys number 2 singles after he sailed throughout the brackets. Wion had a 1,0 win over Oilton's Noah Marshall then downed Wyatt Cummings from Pauls Valley 2,1. He defeated James Puls from Riverfield in the championship round, 3,2,2.
boysw teamEli Palmer came close to his number 1 singles championship after winning 0.1 over Alex Graithen from Pauls Balley then 1,1 against Caleb Mazzei from Regent. He lost in the championship match 2,1 to Andrew Bates from Riverfield.
The HHS boys 1 doubles sam of Day and Freeman came close to a championship. They won 2,1 against Perry then 2,3,6 over Pauls Valley. In the finals, the HHS pair lost to Riverfield 3,2.
In the boys 2 doubles bracket, Dwiggins and Knox lost their opener 4,5 to Pauls Valley but won up in fifth after 1,0 wins over Rejoice and 5,2 against Perry.boys doubles
