According to Dutch Vandenborn, the first camp last year brought out 45 kids and is believed to be directly responsible for an increased interest in golfing as a school sport.

"The program will focus on the fundamentals of golf from the short game to the long game," he said. "We want to give each participant the tools to improve their game."
To register or get more information about the camp, parents are encouraged to contact the Henryetta golf club at 918-652-8664 or 918-319-1111.
Vandenboarn said participants will receive a free t-shirt. Golf clubs will be available to those who need them.
