Two people were arrested Wednesday on a series of drug charges following a traffic stop on Main Street.
According to police chief Steve Norman, Jimmie J. Likowski, 45, was driving a pickup when officers pulled him over for a traffic violation.
The chief said during questioning, Likowski allegedly tried to pull away from officers forcing them to use tasers to subdue him.
He was booked into the Okmulgee County jail on charges of driving or moving a vehicle in an unsafe condition, unlawfully carrying a weapon, resisting arrest and possession of controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger in the vehicle, 32-year-old Sheila Austin Christian, was also arrested and taken to the county jail on complaints of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding county warrant.
