Native American culture has deep roots in Henryetta and Oklahoma.
Those roots and Native American culture were showcased Wednesday at Henryetta high school.
Students and various Creek Nation volunteers spent most of the day showing students everything from jewelry making to traditional foods.
Tracey Sontag, HHS history teacher, said students got hands on experience as they made beaded bracelets, got to weave god's-eye decorations and heard Native American stories.
Several dancers, dressed in traditional attire, entertained the students.
