Larry Gene Guevara, a long time resident of Henryetta, died Feb. 3, 2015 in Rock Hill, South Carolina at the age of 70.  Larry was born July 30, 1944 to Mae Burleson Neal and Joseph Guevara. He started working in an upholstery shop in the Tulsa area as a young man but his love for the open road and traveling took him to a career in professional truck driving. At the age of 33 and upon health reasons Larry went back into the upholstery business. After graduating OSU Okmulgee Tech in upholstery, Larry opened an upholstery shop out of his home in Henryetta. Larry is preceded in death by his parents.
Larry is survived by his wife: Barbara Guevara, children: Kathy Englund, Lori Guevara, Wayne Guevara, Bryan Campbell, Brad Campbell, Peter Brady, Jesse Casino, Justus Casino, and Brittany Casino; grandchildren: Shawn Severs, Kurt Switters, Monica Englund, Jimmy Horn, Lindsey Collins, Jeremy Horn, Shaelyn Guevara, Cristian Guevara, Alex Guevara, Brittany Campbell, Colton Campbell, and Jaylan Campbell; great grandchildren: Trace Collins, Riley Collins, Connor Switters, Desmond Switters, Zoe Graves, Ryden Campbell, Joseph Cash Casino, Zoe Casino, and Marceline Casino; a brother: Ralph Guevara; sister: Donna Schouten and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday February 7, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Henryetta.
