Nowadays everyone is too busy judging us by our mistakes and nobody notices the sacrifices OUR uniformed individuals make. Our military, Our law enforcement officers, Our EMS, Our fireman. I am a huge supporter of all of them because they put their lives on the line everyday for US. You, me, your kids, your neighbors, all of us. I live in Sequoyah county, but I wanted to give my thanks to the individuals from your community.
Late afternoon Friday September 2nd 2016, there was an accident on Interstate 40 around mile marker 235. Even though it wasn't their jurisdiction Henryetta police and firemen came out to the accident. I was someone that just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. The accident itself was tragic enough, but to all of the people that were taking pictures and videoing as they were passing by you should be ashamed.
The Oklahoma state troopers, EMS, the Life Light units, the medical people that stopped to try to assist, you guys are the most amazing people in the world and you are the true meaning of heroism. And to the two officers from the Henryetta Police Department that stayed with me until dark and even stay later I know that you had a 12 hour shift that ended hours earlier but you were so heroic and I just wanted to say thank you so much for your integrity. I will gladly buy you lunch or dinner anytime you see me (just not at Braum's).
I just wanted to give my thanks.
Much appreciated,
Amelia Poitevint
