The Henryetta cagers are going to have to work extra hard if they want to pick up a regional trophy next week.
Both teams were handed losses in district competition at Bethel Saturday night. The Lady Knights were unable to stop a rampaging set of Lady Wildcats to lose 64-27. In the boys game, it appeared as though the Knights would pull off a win but the bethel boys stormed back in the fourth quarter for a 45-37 win.

The Lady Knights could only manage to get two points in the first quarter when Hanna Gouge hit a field goal. She would eventually pick up 11 during the night.
In the second period, she get an additional seven while Kamarie Wallace was successful in two of her four free throws of the evening. Addison Ellis and Maddie James each added four to the tally.
The Bethel girls kept up the pressure in the second half, scoring 13 in the third period compared to eight for Henryetta and 17 in the fourth for the win.
In the boys game, the scoring kept Henryetta fans tense through ought the night. The HHS boys drew first blood when Brannon Murphy sank a three pointer from the corner then stole the ball for another two. He would eventually hit four of the three-point goals during the night.
The Knights had a tenuous 10-8 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Wildcats would tie up the game at 12-12 in the second period then move ahead 13-12 with a free throw.

Riley Berry hit a field goal to put the Knights back in the lead then Murphy nailed a three pointer to give the Knights 17. Bethel scored the front half of a two point free throw to move within four with nine seconds left in the period.
The third quarter saw Bethel score six field goals and a three point shot while the Knights dropped in four of the two-point goals, a three-pointer and two of two free throws.
Bethel tied up the game with a field goal with two seconds left on the clock.
In the fourth quarter, scoring went cold for Henryetta. The Knights could only get seven points, missing five of six times from the free throw line.
Murphy led the Henryetta scoring with 15 points while Heath Konsure and Riley Berry had eight each. Devin Longan added four and Kalil Lewis two.
That sets the stage for the HHS teams to start on the consolation side of the brackets at the regional contest in Okemah Thursday.
The Lady Knights will be playing Holdenville at 1:30 followed by the Knights against Holdenville boys at 3.
