James Williams and Casey Jones will take their seats again on the Henryetta school board. Both were the winners Tuesday night in the annual school election.
james williamsWhile Jones won by a 216 vote margin over Gary Clason, incumbent James Williams had a tighter race. He picked up 254 votes while challenger David Bullard had 232, a 22-vote margin.casey jones
In Morris, Rodney King pulled the largest number of votes, 162, for the school board seat. Right behind him was Adana Mims with 105 while John Powell was third with 42 and Charlie A Whitley came in with 24.
Vickie Jones was the apparent vote leader in Okmulgee with 272 but Marcus Jeffrey was second with 221. John Delso received 63 votes for the Okmulgee school board seat.
Beggs voters selected Larry Christy for their school board with 132 votes while Mickey Shaffer received 92 and O.G. Thompson had 10.
Graham voters approved both propositions that included construction of a football field. Proposition 1 had 122 favorable votes compared with 67 opposition it. Proposition 2 received 125 votes in favor and 65 votes against it.
