There was a lot of running, bouncing and tumbling Saturday at the high school gym.
The facility was filled with 158 athletes of all ages from Oklahoma and Texas showing off their gymnastic skills at the Oklahoma state contest.
Henryetta’s McIntosh Tumbling took 41 competitors and came away with 55 state championship honors. They also compiled 27 second place awards. Eight of the young athletes were named overall champions on the individual level and eight overall team banners. “That meant we had the highest scoring team in those levels,” said McIntosh owner Katie Thompson.
