Outgoing city councilman Ronnie Duke and retiring waste water supervisor Walter Lewis were honored Tuesday night by the Henryetta city council.
Duke was replaced as council member earlier this month by Bill Goodner. Duke had been appointed by the council two years ago.
Lewis has been in charge of the waste water plant and operations for nearly 25 years.
The two received plaques from mayor Jennifer Clason at the start of the April meeting.
In making the presentation to Duke, Clason said she appreciated his efforts in helping the city council.
“I appreciate the council and the citizens of Henryetta have given me the opportunity to serve. He said if the council, chamber and civic leaders all work together, “we can do great things in the next two to four years.”
