Students are ready for classes to end but Henryetta school administrators are looking toward the next year.
Enrollment for the 2017-2018 school year for pre-school, three-year-old program and kindergarten will begin May 1.
According to elementary principal Kelly Furer, parents need to set up an appointment to enroll their pre-school students. Those students must be four years old on or before Sept. 1, 2017 to qualify.
“Your child will be given a vision, hearing and speech evaluation that will take about one hour,” she said. Because of the evaluation, parents need to call 918-652-6587 to set up an appointment. Enrollment will also be held May 2 for those who can’t make it on the first day.
Students wanting to enroll in the three-year-old program must come to the school May 3. Those students must be three years of age on or before Sept. 1. They also need to have the hearing, speech and developmental evaluation and parents need to call for an appointment.
The kindergarten enrollment is set for May 4 and is for new students only.
Those children must be five years old on or before the Sept. 1 date.
For all enrollment, parents or guardians need to bring proof of residence such as an electric, gas or water bill, an approved transfer or a signed affidavit of residents.
They also need to have an official state birth certificate with state seal, social security card, current immunization record, Sooner Car card , tribal citizenship card.
Enrollment will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the front lobby of the elementary building.
