For the fourth year, Henryetta and area students will be participating in the Sports Academics and Life Skills camp.
IMG 9611This year the camp will be held July 7 through 9 at the school track and field complex.
It is open to boys and girls from third through eighth grade. All students wishing to participate need to register by July 1. Students can get a registration form at Henreytta schools or download one here: {phocadownload view=file|id=19|target=s}
The camp is led by former collegiate coach Ken Heupel. The camp’s other staff members are all former collegiate or professional players and coaches. The camp gives youngsters three days of coaching in athletics, health, fitness, life choices and leadership.
Campers spend two days going through drills, playing games and learning leadership from coaches with a vast array of professional, collegiate and high school experience.
It will be held at the high school track starting at 8 a.m. each morning. There is no registration fee. Campers will receive lunch each day, a camp T-shirt and only need to bring a bottle of water with their name on it. Girls and boys are encouraged to attend.
