The number eight was one that Paxton Matthews will remember for some time.
He is an eighth grade student at Wilson and was successful in eight rounds to be named the school spelling bee champion.
Placing second was second grader Abby Neep.

Fourth grade: Alyssa Burdine, Destiny Cabrera, Matthew DeWolf, Alyna Earhart, Rylee Frank, Madison Potter, Caylah Ribordy, Maddie Titsworth, Brooklyn Weeks, and Patience Williams;
Fifth grade: Brooke Branson, Jade Hicks, and Brian Roberts
Sixth grade: Draven Airington, Kailee Branson, Breanna Farley, William Garcia, Madison Harjo, Ryder Herring, Megan Peavler, Jadince Ribordy, Sierra Sellers, Marah Shanks, Nicholas Williams, and Austin Winn;
Eighth grade: Paxton Matthews and Alex Minyard.
