turnpike crash

Two people were injured Sunday morning when the car they were in went out of control and crashed on the Indian Nation Turnpike. The accident happend about five miles south of Henryetta.
The car was said to have been going north when the driver lost control. The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway striking a bridge pillar and rolled several times, coming to rest on its wheels.
Both occupants had to be treated for injuries. One was flown by helicopter to Tulsa and the other transported to the Hillcrest Henryetta Medical Center.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrolsaid the crash happened when the driver, Lois Rich, 60, of Stratford, apparently went to sleep while driving. She and the passenger, Stacy James, 52, also of Stratford, were listed in stable condition.
