Some 30 youngsters attended the first of the Henryetta public library summer reading program Monday afternoon.
Set from June 5 through July 10, the weekly programs encourage youngsters to “Build a Better World” and will include everything from crafts to discussions by area experts.
Monday the children talked about how to build a home using various materials including bricks, sticks and even mud. At the conclusion of the program they decorated their own “homes” built from craft sticks.
Next Monday, the program will be a talk on bullying presented by Rush Williams.
