band uniformsRepresentatives from DeMoulins Brothers were on hand this week to measure the band members and start the ball rolling toward getting the new outfits.
"This is something that I think the community will be happy with, said band director Allen Montgomery. "The new uniforms will be the black, white and gold school colors and will have the band logo on the breast."
Unfortunately, the new look will not be available in time for football season but Montgomery said the Knight brigade will be wearing them at the Christmas parade as well as other events.
"We have made do with the old uniforms since 2003 and it was time for an upgrade. We can go for a number ofyears without replacing the uniforms unlike the spots uniforms that are subjected to wear and tear through athletics.
Along with the pants and tunic, the uniforms iwll include a new hat closely resembling a helment from the Roman legion.
He expressed his appreciation for the school's decision to make the purchase without calling upon the band boosters to hold a fundraiser. "That will enable us to spend our efforts in otherways to help the program."
