A public hearing on the proposed 2017-2018 fiscal year city budget Monday night took less than a minute to hold.
The budget will be voted on at the June 20 regular council meeting. Monday’s special session was to allow members of the public to question the revenue and expenses. The budget can be seen here: Public Hearing On City Budget
Also on the agenda was approval for the first change order in the cost of construction of the million-gallon storage tank east of town. that change came due to an unexpected cost to install electric lines.
Acting as the Henryetta municipal authority, the council also approved $15,000 for repairs on the clearwell at the water plant.
Mayor Jennifer Clason said there was a leak discovered during routine cleaning work this past weekend.
