HHS cross country season opens at Stroud

Henryetta Knight cross country runners braved the heat Saturday to compete at the Stroud invitational. This was the first meet of the 2017 season but the Knights were able to capture a couple of top 20 places.
Lady Knight runner Bailee Worlow had a 7:39 time in the mile for 12th place and a medal. On the boy’s side, Keaton Lollis placed 14th earning a medal with a time of 14:8 in the two-mile run.
Rounding off the placing for HHS were Bayliegh Nye, finishing with an 8:27 and Cheyenne Thomas, 8:29, Trevor King, 16:02 and Nick Pak, 16:23.
The Knights go to Seminole Aug. 26 then Madil Sept. 2.
They host their own meet Sept. 9
