Henryetta police and deputies from the Okmulgee County sheriff’s office surrounded a house at Jefferson and Fourth streets Thursday afternoon.
The lawmen were serving an arrest warrant on Gabriel Stinson who was wanted on a warrant out of Colorado.
According to police chief Steve Norman, the action was taken because Stinson was believed to pose a danger to neighbors and law enforcement.
He was taken into custody and placed in a cell at the Henryetta police department without incident.
A few minutes later, officers were called to a home in the same area regarding a domestic disturbance. No arrests were made in that incident.
