For the second consecutive month, Henryetta had a gain in sales tax receipts.
The January 2018 check from the state Tax Commission amounted to $234,824. That was $4,595 above the $230,228 received last year.
Those numbers reflect local sales from November 16 to November 30, 2017 and estimated sales from December 1 to December 15.
By contrast, the town lost $3,068 in use tax revenue from last January. Henryetta received $20,376 this year compared to $23,463 a year ago.
While Henryetta had a gain, the city of Okmulgee has to deal with $30,100 less than last year. That sales tax check amounted to $536,417 this month compared to $587,517 in 2017.
The sales tax return to Dewar was also down, $11,368 this month compared to $11,902 last January.
