Olen Hurt, 92, of Morris, died Jan. 28, 2018.
Olen was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Hazel Hurt of Morris and sister Helen Johns of Tulsa.
Olen married Robbie Jean Paschal Dec. 12, 1946 in Okmulgee. Olen became a member of the Morris United Pentecostal church in 1963 and attended faithfully for over 50 years. He was the Sunday School Superintendent for 20 years and served as a Deacon for over 40 years. Olen served in the United States Army from September 1943 - March 1946 as a truck driver. He served with the 1892nd Engineer Aviation Battalion and was overseas for 17 months in New Guinea and Okinawa. In which time he drove over many types of terrain under blackout and other conditions to haul materials for building airstrips and roads.
Olen is survived by his wife of 71 years Robbie Jean Hurt: three sons: Jimmy Hurt and wife Janice of Morris, Danny Hurt and wife Debi of Morris, Larry Hurt and wife Lisa of Coweta; daughter, Teresa Hampton and husband Jerry of Morris; sister, Judy Milstead and husband Paul of Fayetteville, Ark., and brother-in-law, Jerry Johns of Tulsa; 11 grandchildren: Dewayne Hurt of Morris, Michael Hurt and wife Tiffany of Okmulgee, Keith Hurt and wife April of Morris, Christi Switzer and husband Jeremy of Sand Springs, Sabrina Washington and husband Ed of Morris, Travis Hurt and wife Jennifer of Morris, David Hurt and wife Megan of Sapulpa, Tiffany Hurt of Coweta, Chase Hampton of Morris, Cayne Hampton and wife Lorena of Montgomery, PA, Holli Peters and husband Josh of Morris; 24 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers are his 10 grandsons and honorary pallbearers are Donald Brill, Wayne Wainwright, Deloy Vaughn, David Porter and Jim Davis.

Viewing will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m., and Thursday February 1 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service and 4 to 8 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Morris United Pentecostal Church.
Home going service will be held Friday February 2 at 2 p.m. at the Morris United Pentecostal Church 608 W. Ozark, Morris, Oklahoma, with Rev. Jimmy Shoemake officiating. Interment will follow at the Morris Cemetery under direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service, Henryetta.
