Dennis Ray Meisenheimer, a resident of Henryetta, Feb. 21, 2018 at his home in Henryetta at the age of 66. Dennis was born June 22, 1951 in Raytown, Missouri to John Reinhart Meisenheimer and Gertrude (Sedgewick) Meisenheimer.
Dennis grew up in Raytown and attended Raytown Public Schools, graduating from Raytown High School. Following high school, Dennis joined the U.S. Air Force and faithfully served for approximately four years before his honorable discharge. With his military service career completed, Dennis was then employed with Avon Corporation. He spent the next 30 years working in warehouses for Avon Corporation as a warehouse supervisor. Dennis married Sue Walton July 28, 1983 in Kansas City, Missouri. They remained happily married for 35 years prior to his death.
He was a longtime member of the Raytown, Missouri Assembly of God Church.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, John and Gertrude Meisenheimer, and a brother, Johnny Meisenheimer.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Sue Meisenheimer of the home; five children: Lanette Seratt and husband Calvin of Chester, AR, Stephen Meisenheimer of Kansas City, MO, Kara Pressley of Oklahoma City, Stacie Gall and husband Jason of Bainbridge Island, WA, and Mendy Pratt of Mulberry, AR; eight grandchildren: Monica Seratt, Kelsea Seratt, Addison Gall, Jackson Gall, Emerson Gall, Bryntleigh Young, Kalea Pratt, and Dakota Dugan; one great grandchild, Brylea Rogers; a sister, Dixie Snyder of Hot Springs, AR; a brother, Larry Meisenheimer and wife Karen of Kansas City, MO; and by other extended family and many good friends.
Viewing will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2018 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Scott Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Blackburn Cemetery near Norman under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
