Around 7 p.m. Friday night, two Dustin residents died in a two-vehicle crash on SH 84 four miles east of Weleetka.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Cindy Norton, 39, and Eric Norton, 37, died from injuries. Two juveniles, ages 13 and 15 were treated for injuries they received in the accident.
OHP Trooper Mike Choate said a 1998 Nissan driven by Cindy Norton was being pushed by the two juveniles and Eric Norton when it was struck in the rear by a 2002 GMC pickup driven by Mark Smith, 57, also of Dustin.
Trooper Choate said Smith apparently tried to swerve to the left to avoid striking the Nissan but hit it in the left rear.
The Nissan driver was pinned in the vehicle for about 90 minutes before being freed by the Weleetka Fire Department with the use of the Hurst tool.
