Members of the Henryetta Middle School band are all smiles after they received a superior rating at the contest held in Edmond Saturday morning.
This is award number 139 for the band. I am very proud of them," said band director Alan montgomery.
He pointed out the members are actually composed of two groups and were able to be "calm and controlled on stage."
In addition to the overall superior rating, the trumpet section received an outstanding section award.
