The weather was perfect for runners to hit the pavement at Nichols Park Saturday morning. Running to help members of the McIntosh Gymnastics go to Florida for the national contest in June, the participants found clouds of colored dust thrown their way. Various stations were set up around the lake with volunteers too willing to toss the colored chalk dust in faces and on the once-white t-shirts. "This is just one of the fundraisers we have been doing to get ready for the national competition," said McIntosh owner Katie Thompson. She said more activities will be held in coming weeks.
