The Lady Knights will be in Oklahoma City this weekend looking for three possible state titles.
HHS tennis team members captured first place regional honors in the 1 doubles and 2 singles contest held Monday in Henryetta.
The 1 doubles team of Summer Bryant and Fallon Rodgers continued their collection of first place awards when they won a three-set match up against Grove.
Taylor Hodge took first in the 2 singles competition and Tamra Smith and Skylar Thomas blasted their way into the finals to lose to Grove’s Eliza Downing and Erica Elder.
Overall, Henryetta was second in the team point standings just behind Grove and ahead of Wagoner.
in the 1 doubles, Rogers and Bryant drew an opening Bye then blanked Beggs 0.0. They quickly eliminated Seminole in the semi-finals to start off the finals contest.
Grove won the first set 4-6 then the HHS girls stormed back to win 6-4 and 6-3.
Henryetta’s 1 singles entry, Bailey Davis, drew a bye in the first round then downed Kelsey Moon from Okmulgee. She was sent to the bottom of the brackets with a 2,3 loss to Grove where she lost to Harrah 6,2,2. That put Davis against Moon once again this time losing 3.0 for sixth place.
