Bonnie June Collins a resident of Hinton died June 14, 2018 in Oklahoma City at the age of 89. She was born Oct. 19, 1928 in Mountain View, Okla., to James and Effie Ansie (Guinn) Loyd. She was the sixth child of seven girls and three boys. Bonnie was raised in Henryetta and Dewar and finished school at St Michael's Catholic School in 1945. She married Cecil Collins April 4, 1945 and moved to Tulsa. She became the first woman with the Tulsa Police Department in 1954. She later moved to Dallas, TX and went to work for and Oil Company. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Cecil Collins and second husband Larry Collins and a daughter Oleta June Collins.
She is survived by her daughters: Donna Jo Wheeler of Hinton and Sandi L Farmer of Forney, Tex.; grandson: Frank Young of El Reno; three granddaughters: Debbie Mann of Round Rock, Tex. Lacie Farmer of Forney and Meritha Collins and her children of Sapulpa; great grandson: Blaine Mann of Round Rock; adopted granddaughter: Mica Wheeler of Tulsa
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the Rogers Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
