For the seventh consecutive month the sales tax return for Henryetta was in the plus column.
The town received $203,267.02 from the June sales tax distribution from the state Tax Commission. That was an increase of $3,989.94 over last year and continued the trend started last December. So far during the first six months of this calendar year, the town has received $1,312,660.That is $53,813 above the total for the same six months of 2017.
Around the area, Dewar, Dustin and Beggs were the only communities that also showed gains in the sales tax numbers.
Dewar picked up a check for $10,772.16, a gain of $327.88 from a year ago.
Dustin was paid $$5,223.38, nearly double the $2,731.82 from a year ago.
Beggs had an $1,100 increase with a check form the state for $30,890.61.
On the downside, Okmulgee received $484,022.47, some $571 below the total paid last June.
Statewide, $149,510,587 in sales tax collections was returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $11,515,335 from the $137,995,252 distributed to the cities and towns in June last year.
