Because of help from the public, an arrest has been made in a break-in at the Henryetta First United Methodist Church.
According to police chief Steve Norman, Derek Simmer was jailed Friday afternoon on a complaint of second degree burglary.
Simmer, 18, is alleged to have been one of two people who broke into the church late Thursday night.
Church officials provided police with surveillance video and those images were put on Thehenryettan and police department Facebook pages. Within a few hours, a confidential tipster called naming the suspect.

He was questioned about the incident then an arrest warrant issued. He was booked into the Okmulgee County jail.
This is the second time in just over a year the church was broken into.
The last time, intruders smashed through doors and made off with a television and other electronic equipment.
Since then, the church has beefed up its security system.
"We appreciate the public's involvement in this matter," said the police chief. "This is evidence that people are tired of being treated like victims and want to get ride of the lawless elements in Henryetta."
