Lewis Bible, Jr., a lifetime resident of Dewar, died Aug. 2, 2018 in Oklahoma City at the age of 65. He was born March 27, 1953 to Lewis Bible, Sr. and Helen Freda (Jones) Bible. He was a graduate of Dewar High School and a Dewar Dragon through and through. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Lewis and Helen Bible, two brothers, Thomas Lee (Sonny) Sullivan and Barney Sullivan, also his beloved mother-in-law, Phyllis Shoun Qualls.
He is survived by his wife Brenda of the home; two daughters: Jenny Hunnicutt and husband Steve of Dewar and Mandy Bible Loyd and Brandi Casey of Dewar; three grandsons: Braxton Loyd of Dewar, Jake Hunnicutt of Dewar and Garrett Loyd of Dewar; two brothers: Jerry Bible of Okmulgee and Dennis Bible and wife Alexa of Morris; four sisters: Joann Thomas of Okmulgee, Linda Buckley of Glenpool, Jean Hawkins and husband Butch of Wagoner and Bonita Wright of Okmulgee; a niece who he loved like a sister, Christy Johnson and husband Darin of Tiger Mountain; father-in-law: Matt Qualls of Dewar; aunt, Kathryn Spurlock of Dewar; uncle, Wilson Jones of California; also by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other numerous relatives.
Pallbearers will be, Braxton Loyd, Jake Hunnicutt, Garrett Loyd, Larry Hester, Tommy Dickey, and Arvin McGowin. Honorary pallbearers will be, Bill Goodner, John "Siagon" Harlen, Ron Coe, Sr., John Fultz, Butch Ritter, and Jim Delso.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 7th, 2018 at Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Vance and Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service.
