Jack Lynn Stephens, a longtime resident of Henryetta, died at his home Aug. 4, 2018 in Henryetta at the age of 68. Jack was born Feb. 19, 1950 in Henryetta to Thurman Leon Stephens and Lureatha Locke Stephens.
He grew up in Henryetta and attended Henryetta Public Schools, graduating from Henryetta High School with the class of 1968. Jack served for approximately six years in the Oklahoma National Guard following high school. Also following high school, Jack attended college for several years at Northeastern Oklahoma State University. Jack worked in a drafting firm in Tulsa for a period of time with his uncle. Jack spent the majority of his career working with Braden Wench in Okmulgee where he retired with over 20 years of faithful service.
Jack was baptized at the First Christian Church in Henryetta. Jack is preceded in death by his mother and father; and his sister, Janie Stephens.
He is survived by a brother, David Stephens and wife Judy of Wichita Falls, Tex.; a sister, Kathie Barone and husband Alberto of Whitby, ON Canada; nephews: Bryan Stephens and wife Trudy of Little River, KS, Ray Stephens and wife Tryna of Jenks; six great nieces and nephews; two uncles: Fred Locke and wife Delores of Okmulgee and Ted Locke and wife Freda of Texas; an aunt, Phyllis Stephens of Dewar; and other extended family and many good friends.
A funeral service is set for 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2018 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Sharla Stephenson officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service. Jack’s hot rod friends are invited to drive their hot rods to lead the procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Stephens, Ray Stephens, Christopher Stephens, Alberto Barone, Brandon England, Roger Titsworth, and Steve Davenport and Toby Titsworth.
