An in the park grand slam home run by Jaylynn Joslin was the crowd-pleaser opening shot as the Lady Knights dominated Okemah Saturday.
Playing in the finals of the Eufaula tournament, the Lady Knights sailed past the Lady Panthers 17-3.
That capped off a week that saw Henryetta put 42 runs on the board and giving up only 6 in four games.
They started out with back to back shutouts over Canadian (13-0) and Crowder (8-0).
Next up was meeting the Wetumka Lady Chieftains with Henryetta eventually taking a 4-3 win.
the HHS girls scored first in the second inning but Wetumka added two in the fourth. A Henryetta run that inning tied up the game when Hulleah Wincle got a single scoring Katelyn Dwiggins.
In the fifth, Joslin and Bailee Worlow scored to put Henryetta in the lead.
Wetumka scored one run the sixth with two outs but a ground out stopped that threat.
In the finals, the Lady Knights came out swinging with nine runs scored in the first inning including that grand slam.
It became a defensive battle for the next two innings but Henryetta picked up eight more in the fourth that sealed the game.
