The Lady Knights faced a defensive duel Monday night as they won 2-1 over Beggs. That capped off a week that saw the Henryetta girls chalk up seven wins against only two losses stretching their season record to 21-8.
Avery Miller and Kasedi Gobin pegged in an RBI each in the first inning giving the HHS girls a 2-0 lead. Beggs came back with a first-inning RBI but never had runners crossing the plate again.
During the week, Henryetta won a total of seven games and losing only two. Along the way, they put 44 runs on their side of the scoreboard while giving up 11. That included shut out wins over Jay (12-0) and Stillwell (10-0). The lone losses went to Hulbert by a 4-3 margin and 1-0 with Oktaha.
