Dr. Gary Lindsey, Oklahoma Christian University professor talked about coal and it's impact on Henryetta and the area.
He was the guest speaker at the annual Henryetta Historical Society founders' Day dinner.
The tables were set with maps of coal fields around Henryetta and some of the tools and equipment used by miners.
The dinner included a special pie auction with funds going to help the Society throughout the year.
