For over a century, the Masonic Lodge has been a part of Henryetta.
The Tulledega 201 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons was first chartered in 1903. For 27 years, members met in the original building but a fire forced the move to the building on South Fifth.
That building was originally used as a store with a rooming house operating on the second floor. When the local organization purchased it, the upstairs was converted into the meeting room.
"There were a lot of lodge members who did the work in that conversion," says lodge member Dale Dickey.

Because the building was so old the members decided it was time for a change and, for the past two years, they have been getting a new home ready.
This weekend the new lodge hall at Trudgeon and North C streets will be officially dedicated.
In a ceremony involving the local officers as well as officials from the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma, the cornerstone will be placed.
Ceremonies will start at noon with a meal and guided tours of the new facility.
"There's been a lot of donations, both financial and material toward the new building and we want to honor those people," he said.
Lodge members spent much of the past fall and winter preparing the interior of the building including tile floors, paint and setting up a new kitchen area.
"The members are proud of this new building and we invite the public to come by and see it for themselves."
