First place victories in the number one and 2 doubles and second in the number 2 singles gave the HHS boys tennis team the top trophy at the Henryetta invitational Friday.
The HHS number one doubles team of Bailey and Wieberdink had no trouble sailing through their brackets to capture first.
They opened with a 1,0 win over Beggs then 2,2 victory against Bixby. In the finals, the two seniors won 4,1 against Oologah.
On the number 2 doubles side, Day and Freeman downed Wagoner 5,4 and 11,9 then beat out Oologah 2,5 and 10-5 to get into the finals. They beat the Bixby team 6,1 for their first place win.
Henryetta had to settle for second and fifth places in the singles competition.
After winning 1,2 against Beggs, Eli Plamer won 3,2 and 10-3 in the semi-finals with Wagoner. He lost 4,1 to Okmulgee in the championship round.
Tyler Dunn lost his opening number 1 singles match to Okmulgee then won over Beggs and Rejoice for fifth place.
