Jimmie Gary Sparks, a resident of Henryetta, died Feb. 6, 2019 in Tulsa at the age of 84. He was born Dec. 14, 1934 in Hitchita to C. Haskell Sparks and Birtie (Kindell) Sparks.
Jimmie served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles Sparks, his wife, Shirley Sparks, and by an infant sister.
Jimmie is survived by four daughters: Pam Sparks of Henryetta, Kim Sparks of Dallas, Tex., Mari K. Williams and husband Brian of Lubbock, Tex.and SueAnn Sparks of Tahlequah; seven grandchildren: Kyle Dick of Henryetta, Garrett Dick and wife Shelby of Twin Hills, Kindell Dick of Tulsa, Nicole Williams of Dallas, Jacob Williams and wife Katie of Richmond, Tex., Taylor Ann Williams of Corpus Christie, Tex., and Michelle Norsby of Tulsa; three great grandchildren: Gabe, Ava, and Jordan; sister, Patricia Ann Maple of Sand Springs; brother, Marvin Sparks and wife Sue of Rollston; sister-in-law, Mavious Sparks of Bixby; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has designated a donation to the Hitchita Lacky Cemetery and or the Hitchita Fire Department would be an honor to Jimmie.
Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2019 at Integrity Funeral Service with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Kent Sparks, officiating. Interment will follow at Lackey Cemetery in Hitchita. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
