The Knights opened their spring baseball season with a trip to Tulsa’s Lincoln Christian field that resulted in a 6-2 loss.
Drew Brown and Tate Wisdom provided the two runs for the Knights on RBI hits but were unable to bring home five other runners.
The Lincoln Christian Bulldogs scored first on an RBI hit in the first inning then followed that up with two more runs in the second before Henryetta could get on the board. A fifth inning walk-in run and two runs in the sixth put the cap on the Bulldog scoring.
Brown, the leadoff batter for Henryetta, singled in his first time at bat but was stranded on third when the Knights had a fly out, toss out at first and strikeout.
He singled in the third then used a hit by Brodie Graffman to cross home plate.
Wisdom picked up the final Knight run in the seventh when Jeremiah Boyles got on with a single that turned into an error by the Buldog second baseman.
The Knights turned a double play in the fifth inning to shut down a threat by the Bulldogs.
Jared Montgomery started on the mound for Henryetta then Graffman came in midway through.
