Kaylie Hamric sent the ball out of the park to score the game winning home run Monday night against Vian.
Henryetta led most of the game but had to fend off a seven-run attack by the Lady Wildcats in the final inning of play.
vianThe Henryetta charge started in the first inning with Jaylyn Joslin getting a home run to center scoring Kasedi Gobin as well. That was followed immediately with Madelyn Blackbear getting a solo homer. The fourth HHS run came when Huleah Wincle got on base with an error bringing Avery Miller home.
Vian picked up two runs in the first inning on a line drive to left and fielder’s choice to third.
The Lady Wildcats added a third run on homer to left in the top of the second.
In the bottom of the second, Henryetta’s lead strengthened when Gobin picked up a two-run homer scoring Emily Smith then Autumn Blackbear did the same with Madelyn on base. Lexi Lollis put the cap on the scoring when she nailed a home run to left putting Henryetta ahead 9-3.
The tenth HHS run came in the bottom of the third when Hamric nailed a line drive to center.
Vian added a run in the top of the second and top of the third then two in the fourth.
It appeared as though Henryetta had the game sewn up until the seventh inning when Vian used three home run hits to drive in seven runs and tie the game at 13 all.
That’s when Hamric got her solo homer to center and chalk another win on the Henryetta tally.
