A seventh inning hit to center by Drew Brown drove in the winning runs as Henryetta slid by Morris 5-4 Monday night.
The first baseball season encounter for the two county teams started out with Morris picking up three runs in the third.
Henryetta put one run on the board in the third with Ethan Palmer walking then scoring after Morris’ pitcher threw a series of walks and putting Brodie Graffman on when he was hit by a pitch.
In the fifth inning Morris got the fourth and final run for the Eagles wwith a double scoring Cagle.
That was the inning that Henryetta loaded the bases on walks then Andrew Morris took a four-ball count to bring Jared Montgomery home. That was followed when Jean Pixkler got on with an error by the Morris second base. That scored Ethan Wincle making the score 4-3 in favor of the eagles.
After holding Morris scoreless in the top of the seventh. Henryetta had Brodie Graffman get hit with a pitch then Andrew Morris and Pixkler both walked loading up the bases. A second out by Jeremiah Boyles left leadoff HHS batter Drew Brown nail a shot to center field. The Morris centerfielder dropped the ball allowing Graffman and Connor Bullard to cross home and take the win for HHS.
