Henryetta police officer Jeff Webster was named Officer of the Year Saturday at the annual Okmulgee Elks Lodge law enforcement banquet. Webster has been a member of the HPD for two years. Most recently, he was instrumental in the arrest of two people wanted in Kansas on felony charges. That arrest was made after he saw a vehicle said to have been stolen by the couple. He started a high speed pursuit that ended just west of Checotah on I-40. Police chief Steve Norman praised Webster saying, "he is the next generation of law enforcement in our city. Even though he is older than most two-year officers, he is very intelligent and will be a leader here in years to come." Webster is shown with Norman and fellow police officers Doug Kossakowski, Matt Duke, Joey Cantrell, Brandon England and Paul Brown, jr.

dispatchers

At the dinner, law enforcement dispatchers were also recognized for their work during the past year. Receiving certificates were Paul Brown, sr., Felicia Barrick, Deana Hart, Stephanie Brooks and Deanna Peavler.
