Anita Louise Burns, a resident of Hanna, died June 14, 2019 in Oklahoma City at the age of 67. She was born May 8, 1952 in Globe, Ariz., to James Teafatiller and Mary (Whitner).
Anita went to school in Fame, Okla. After school at the age of 21 she married the love of her life, Mickey Burns in Alexandria, Louisiana in 1974.
From this union Anita had four daughters and one son: Cindy Hight (aka: Nini) of Indiana, Linda Cox (aka: Sister) and husband Rocky of Hanna, Chris Burns (aka: Pooh Bear) and partner Jenn Raper of Hanna, Lisa Cannon (aka: Toad Frog) and husband Jeremiah of Hanna, Dalain Breshears (aka: Son) and wife Mandy of Oklahoma City; one sister, Etta Harness of Pierce; one brother, Jimmy Teafatiller and wife Terry of Checotah; two precious great nephews: Garret and Angelica Harness of Hanna
and Devan and Cheyenne Harness of Hanna; 23 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; also has a dear friend, Joyce Berry.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three grand babies, 8 great grand babies and by the love of her life, Mickey Burns.
Wake services are scheduled for 7 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Vernon, Okla., Friday, June 21, 2019.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, June 22, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church in Vernon at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mellette Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Josh Breshears, Cody Breshears, Arcell Cannon, Joey Davis, and George Howard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joyce Berry, Isaiah Cannon, Devan Harness, Caleb Rogers, Garrett Harness, and Delain Breshears.
