It may have been after the Fourth of July and there was some rain but residents along Wade Wells Drive still celebrated the holiday Friday evening. A neighborhood block party brought out nearly 100 adults and children to enjoy visiting, playing and lots of food. "We wanted to do something to get people acquainted with each other and this seemed to be the logical way to do it and the best time for everyone," said 15-year neighborhood resident David Bullard. Families each brought something to eat and several supplied the decorations. An inflatable water slide was a hit with a lot of the youngsters. ZBullard said there are plans to hold another party next year and hopefully bring more people out to enjoy it.
