Charlie James Proctor, a resident of Dustin, died July 9, 2019 in Tulsa at the age of 90. He was born April 18, 1929 in Holdenville to Freeman Proctor and Mary (Watts) Proctor.
Charlie worked for 35 years as a candy maker in Oklahoma City. He was member of Faith Baptist Church in Dustin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Alex Proctor, two brothers, Woody Proctor and Jonas Proctor, also by five sisters, Beatrice, Wanda Davis, Mary Burris, Pauline Yahola and Bessie Noriega.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Lena Proctor of the home; children: Lumber and Lydia Proctor of Holdenville, Bill and Minnie Proctor of Dewar, Charles Proctor of Oklahoma City, Jay and Teresa Proctor of the home, Lizzie and Harold Haynes of Holdenville, Rhoda Proctor of Dustin, Emma Proctor of Henryetta, Eva Proctor of Dustin and Tina Proctor of Dustin; brothers: Johnny Leitka of Washington and Wisey Proctor of Harrah; sistersL Immogene Leitka Givens of Washington and Louise Ware of Dustin;a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren; also by a host of friends and other relatives.
Viewing for Charlie will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at Integrity Funeral Service. Procession to the wake will be at 4 p.m. Friday. Wake services are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Faith Baptist Church in Dustin.
Pallbearers will be Byron Proctor, Alex Proctor, Josiah Proctor, Joseph Proctor, Charles Proctor, Jr., Kyle Holden, Nocv-LJ Proctor, and Alec Proctor. Honorary pallbearers will be, Brian Proctor, Bruce Proctor, Dakota Proctor, Alex Proctor, Jr., Justin Holden, Bill Stokes, Red Hicks, Buffalo Hill, Oscar Pigeon and Paul Pigeon.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church in Dustin with Pastor Leon Postoak officiating. Interment will follow in Pigeon-Proctor Family Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
