Joanne Wauahdooah, a resident of Midwest City, died July 22, 2019 in Norman at the age of 80. She was born July 30, 1938 in Claremore to Yahola Givens and Leona (Harjo) Givens.
Joanne worked for many years as a program analyst with the Federal Aviation Administration. She was a member of Sand Creek Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Stella Catherine Simpson, Aggie Mae Gouge, Duane Givens, Joe Bailey Givens, Michael Taylor, and a nephew Dennis Simpson, a nieces: Celia (Unna) Gouge Anderson, Hollee Nicole Anderson.
She is survived by three children: Debbie Hight of El Reno, Bonnie Lininger and husband Russ of Norman and Aaron Wauahdooah and wife Bobbie of Asher; seven grandchildren: Seth Hensley, Josh Taylor, Megan Wauahdooah, Summer Wauahdooah, Dylan Hight, Morgan Lininger, and Sarah Wauahdooah; two great grandchildren: Ethan Hensley and Conor Taylor; two sisters, Norma Jean Givens of Wetumka and Gwen Hummingbird of Tulsa; also by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives
Wake services are scheduled for 6 p.m., Thursday evening at Integrity Chapel.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2019 at Hillabee Church in Hanna with Rev. Darrell Coachman officiating. Interment will follow under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be, Seth Hensley, Dylan Hight, Julian Moon Hummingbird, Gabriel Givens, Russ Lininger, and Octavio Rodriguez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Taylor, Ethan Hensley and Conor Taylor. Other Honorary pallbearers, sons of Robert Givens; Harper Givens; Eunah Givens; Charles Givens; Benjamin Harjo; and Albert Coachman.
